Since opening its doors in 1987, the Tivoli has become a premier theatre and entertainment venue. Converted from a classic cinema, the Tivoli now houses two flexible performance spaces; the Tivoli Theatre and the Tivoli Downstairs. The versatility of both spaces has helped the Tivoli to become one of Dublin’s best loved and most sought after theatres in Dublin. The Tivoli Theatre is a unique purpose built theatre with a flexible stage area and an extensive lighting grid with a vast array of options for hanging. The theatre can accommodate 447 patrons in the proscenium and up to 560 patrons in the round. The Tivoli Downstairs has been newly refurbished and now hosts Dublin’s unmissable Irish Music and dance show, The Irish House Party
. The show was something of a revolt by irish musicians against the cheesy and the twee so you will find no flat caps, waistcoats or leprechauns at this performance. It is traditional Irish music at its very best performed by All Ireland champion musicians, dancers and entertaining presenters.
